This chopper is in the back garden of a large house. Allegedly it made a hard landing and was subsequently written off. Now it serves as an eye catcher on the estate, which is being turned into a mini golf and carting track in one.
The id was questionable according to EMOOS, so we checked the chopper thoroughly (of course). No c/n plate was found, but the FAA permit was still attached to the console confirming the id that was also painted on the side and on the call plate. I have also seen a picture of the chopper with exactly the same markings and registration operational in Germany in 2005, so I am convinced this one is the real thing and the one in San Carlos museum is an imposter…..
